Meltdown Ministries is a non-denominational, cutting edge ministry based in Cusco, Peru working under the covering of Commission to Every Nation. Cusco is only a few hours from Machu Picchu, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World which makes this a hotspot for tourism. The focus of Meltdown Ministries is the thousands of English speaking foreigners living in or passing through Cusco, Peru. Through Meltdown Ministries' multi-faceted ministry of music, a church plant, hosting short term teams, a cafe and partnerships with other ministries, our goal is to be able to offer something for everyone and make a difference for Christ in this part of the world! Jed and Jaime Benoit began laying the ground work for this ministry in 2007 and Joél and Emily Malm now head up operations.

Why "Meltdown Ministries"? Think "melting pot". We chose "meltdown" to represent the conglomeration of our diverse ministries and partnerships working together for a common goal: To see people from all over the world come to Christ and to see the western church challenged to make a difference in the world. We also sought a non religious sounding name so people's attention is focused on what we do and not a name. Our tag line says it well: "Relevance without compromise for a modern generation".

Meltdown Ministries (MM) sponsors The Meeting Place, an English church in San Blas, Cusco started in 2009 by Joél & Emily Malm. MM welcomes and hosts short term teams coming down both to work with our ministry and be a blessing to other ministries here.
