Q: How can our church/group do a missions' trip to Cusco through Meltdown Ministries (MM)?

A: Meltdown Ministries can host and help organize your missions' trip! We can help custom fit the trip to suit your group's interests. Whether it's work in an orphanage, working on building projects, evangelism or helping directly with our ministry, we can give you a taste of as much or as little as you'd like. Check out our pricing page for groups/short term missions' trips. For churches/groups/individuals organizing only a portion of your trip through us or using our contacts/resources, please consider a donation to help us with our costs. This will allow us to continue doing what we do.

Aside from ministry, Cusco is a beautiful colonial town full of things to do and is also a short train ride from Machu Picchu, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World! Enjoy white water rafting, tours of ruins, or if time permits, hike the famous Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

Q: What is MM's ministry focus?

Q: I'm thinking about an internship with MM, but it seems like a lot of money. Why is it so much?

A: Several things that drastically affect the price are the trip to Machu Picchu (one of the new Seven Wonders of the World), which costs $220 by itself, as well as the fact that Cusco is a tourist city where things can be somewhat pricier than other South American cities. We have found that if there isn't sufficient money for the ministry we have for you or extras (such as being able to go out to a cafe and interact with people), that you become really limited in what you're able to do here and your experience becomes very basic. If you have a set amount that you raise before you come down, you can enjoy your trip knowing that all your needs are taken care of and that there are no surprises. A small part of the fee also helps administration of our ministry and keeps us functioning. As well, it provides our staff, or locals that we need to hire, the ability to accompany interns/short term team members to various projects or excursions without incurring extra costs on their account.

If you have already seen Machu Picchu and don't wish to go again, we can discount that portion from your expenses. Ask us about any other discounts/exceptions (for example if you are fluent in Spanish and don't need Spanish classes.)
