Description: We are looking for TEAM LEADERS now! We are looking for various leaders (married/ single/ guys/ girls) who love working with youth/young adults/adults, are passionate, self-motivated and willing to help with anything. We need to stress that being self motivated is crucial. This is somewhat different from a short term missions' trip which aims to make a high octane experience for you. Here you will often times be in the driver's seat (so to speak) and will need to take initiative. There is lots of room for innovation with different focuses including helping with The Meeting Place (our church plant). We also need help hosting short-term adventure missions trips here in Cusco, Bible study leaders, various church leaders, and building bridges between other existing ministries.
These individuals must be team players, highly responsible, relate well to young adults/youth and work well in a group. Spanish is a definite plus, although we will allow plenty of time for Spanish study including the option to study at school. This can also be used as a ministry opportunity. As a leader, you need to be able to share your faith and feel comfortable and enjoy talking with others. Meltdown Ministries' focus is English speaking foreigners, so for those who aren't fluent yet in Spanish, that’s not a problem. Any gifts or talents you bring with you are a plus.
>>>Not sure if you have any gifts or talents we could use? Aside from general team leaders, we need people who know web/graphic design, video/video editing, construction and general repairs/painting, musicians, people into adventure treks, creative people and lots more...
Education: minimum high school, good Bible knowledge

Regardless of the position you are applying for, you must fulfill the following requirements:
1. Have made a commitment and accepted Christ as personal Lord and Savior.
2. For any term longer than 3 months, all applicants must be over 18 years of age.
3. Read and agreed to MM's Statement of Faith and Policies & Contemporary Issues.
4. We recommend that you read through our Team Member Packet html or pdf to view pricing, details of coming/working down here and other fine print.
4. Filled out our Application for Ministry (on-line form or pdf). If you have applied as a CTEN missionary or are currently a missionary under another organization, please let us know as we will use that as part of your application. You will still need an application for ministry with Meltdown Ministries. If you will be with us for less than a month, please fill out this form.
5. Have at least one pastoral reference AND one other personal reference by a spiritually mature Christian. Click here to print out a pdf copy to pass on to a referral or simply send them this link.
6. To work with us long term (longer than 3 months), previous missions experience (like a short term missions' trip) is highly recommended.
7. Bible training whether formal or informal is recommended (though not mandatory). Sunday School counts if you paid attention :) There is a spot on the application to give details. The idea here is that you will also be learning, but you will equally need to know how to defend your faith and find your way easily through the Bible. We will also have team Bible studies here and on-going training including issues like evolution, new age, etc. and specific studies including hot topic books like Revelation.
8. All applicants, short term or long term need to have a home church or support group that sends them.
9. All team members must raise 100% of their support to live and minister here. Team members are also responsible to find their own health/travel/life insurance if they so desire. (We have recommendations).
10. Part of your intern/team member packet includes a ministry fee to help cover both your and general ministry costs in Cusco.
11. Passport must be valid for the time here plus 6 months.
12. Not have any medical condition that would be seriously complicated by extreme altitude. (Cusco is at 11,000ft)
