missions trips

Meltdown Ministries can host and help organize your missions' trip! Whether it's work in an orphanage, working on building projects, evangelism or helping directly with our ministry, we can give you a taste of as much or as little as you'd like. Missions' trips prices are for groups 4 or more people. For individual pricing/interns visit this page.

*Please note: For churches/groups/individuals organizing only a portion of your trip through us or using our contacts/resources, please consider a donation to help us with our costs. This will allow us to continue doing what we do.

Aside from ministry, Cusco is a beautiful colonial town full of things to do and is also a short train ride from Machu Picchu, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World! Enjoy white water rafting, tours of ruins, or if time permits, hike the famous Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

See below for details!

What we can provide: We can help you with a detailed schedule of your time here and organize and plan any work projects, stays at orphanage, outreach, accommodations, meals and tours/adventure treks. One or more of our team members will accompany your group as needed to make sure you're taken care of and act as a liaison with our various contacts wherever you are. This price also includes any expenses they incur including food, etc. See our per/person/day price below for 2009. We can also put together a full package that would include all pricing for all the treks you'd like, work projects, etc.

Accommodations: Our basic pricing is for shared accommodations either at the San Blas guest house and/or another quality hostel near the center of town. If we need to split up your team, we'll advise you ahead of time. You will never be more than a short walk from the rest of the group. If you prefer a hotel, we can quote you a price that includes that.

Meals: Some groups prefer to go out for meals which is usually a reasonable option. Alternatively, we have contacts who can cook meals for your team. Most teams will do a mix of the two. Pricing includes all meals. Extras not included in the pre-arranged meals will be the individual's responsibility. If you'd like to pre-arrange classier meals out, we can accommodate that and change the pricing slightly. If you are a team leader, you may just opt to keep money aside to do this separately.

Airport pickup/drop off: In most cases we will include transportation to/from the airport in the pricing. The airport is only about 15 minutes from most hostels/hotels.

Transportation: In most cases transportation to and from the various local projects is included in the cost. Out of town projects (including Limatambo) are typically not included. We will advise you ahead of time if there will be any additional costs.

Projects: Most projects require teams to raise some amount of funds as many are nationally run and simply don't have a budget to do the projects they need. At the time of booking a trip we can talk about options and how much money you would like to raise to be able to do the project. This will be in ADDITION to general pricing.

Adventure Treks: Any adventure treks will be separate from the per day pricing. We can give you an accurate quote ahead of time for Machu Picchu, white water rafting, city tours, etc. We can also arrange all the details for most of these adventures before you arrive. If you are thinking about the Inca Trail you typically need to book it well in advance. In high season (May-August) you may need to book several months in advance.
